Su dueño, Manuel Cristerna, estuvo en prisión un mes por fraude. aparentemente ha defraudado por millones de dolares a un grupo de inversionistas de Estados Unidos. Went to a presentation at Grand Bay Resort on 12-28-09. Signed up for four weeks. Were promised $4000.00 per year for five years if we didn't use it. Also turned in timeshares for re-sale with a high probability of resale of Mexican Market. Gave $6000.00 down payment plus made one paymen tof $414.00 in 2/10. E mailed them immediately when we returned home about internet information and said we wanted our money back and we were frightened by information about drug dealings, etc. Will not be sending any more payments. Now they will "give" us $10,000.00 towards our total and we still owe them $9900.00 more. Have been reading horror stories on web/blogging. Can you help us?

We are currently in Mazatlan MX at the Marina del Rey. We purchased fractional time on what was call Isla Marina Y Villas Coral almost five years ago. They never built the home in which we were to vacation for 3 mo. yearly. We have a law suit and received a judgment in our favor over a year ago but have not received one penny of our $50.000 investment. They say they have no money and have been taken over by another company but the head man is still Manuel Cristerna and they continue to sell on a daily basis and have purchased another timeshare. And they say they have no money to pay us. There are also 2 other parties that have won law suits and they too have not received any money.

We bought into a shared ownership arrangement at La Isla (Grand Bay Resorts) in Mazatlan. We paid $15,000 and were supposed to turn over the deed for a current timeshare we own in the United States which they would sell to finish the contract. When we returned home we attempted to resume dialogue to answer questions (because they gave us false contact information). Since we could not talk to anyone and the email with the timeshare deed came back undeliverable we started looking into La Isla and found scores of people having the same problems. At this point they have our $15K; they didn't get the timeshare deed; we have made no monthly payments. The story goes on.
